UJIMA COMMUNITY INITIATIVE
(Ujima is one of the seven principles of the Nguzo Saba meaning Collective Work & Responsibility. To build and maintain our community together and make our brother's & sister's problems our problems and solve them together.)
In a rapidly growing city like San Antonio—where rising costs and economic disparities disproportionately impact marginalized communities and as a part of our commitment to community well-being, The Liberation Center actively responds to critical issues such as homelessness and food insecurity. Quarterly we provide meals to individuals experiencing homelessness, offering not only nourishment but also dignity, human connection, and hope. These outreach efforts reflect our understanding that food insecurity and housing instability are deeply connected to systemic inequities in education, economic opportunity, and access to culturally responsive support.

WE HAVE PARTNERED WITH LOCAL BUSINESSES AND ORGANIZATIONS TO ASSIST IN OUR COMMUNITY INITIATIVE.
